A house or B&B in Canada

canada-house-colored-chairs-IMG_0048.JPGI love the house and all the colored wooden chairs. With the green background, I like how it all “fits” together.

This is own the Canadian side of the Detroit river, we’re south of Windsor so I’m not certain exactly where. Maybe down by Amherstberg…

I forgot to mention, this was on one of the Diamond Jack river tours (they have a dock in Detroit and another in Wyandotte) this was one of the two different tours from Wyandotte; if you’ve never done any of these tours, your missing out!

A lonely doll washed up on shore

lonely-doll-IMG_3025.JPG
Yes, I know it’s a little creepy, but there is something I like about it. Actually, I’ve got four or five of these that I took with a few different cameras and there is something I really like about them (I took more, but there is 4 or 5 I really like). So, you might be seeing more of this doll in the futureā€¦

This is way up the beach from Montezuma, I think it’s where they do the surfing, I think it was when I stopped for lunch on the way to El Chorro Falls….

Big caterpillar on the picnic table

I was hesitant to tag this with insect (isn’t 6 legs the rule?), but I googled it and got “A caterpillar is the larva of a butterfly or moth. A butterfly is a diurnal insect. So, a caterpillar is a baby insect.”

I think I shot this at one of the parks along Hines Drive or maybe it’s the seat of a bench in front of Hamtramck City Hall (I’d eat lunch outside at the park when I worked in Hamtramck) but it doesn’t look bright enough to be directly outside (even with clouds). I know I shot it in May or June of 2010 but I’m just not sure where I took it…

Looking down the zip line of doom!

zip-line-of-doom-DCP_0866.JPG“As I’m about to go careening down this zip line, dark foreboding clouds appear in the direction that I’m heading”.

Actually, I don’t think I had any thoughts of the sort. I was very excited to be doing this again (I had done it a few years before). Mark and I were driving from the North towards San Jose, Costa Rica and I saw the zip lines so we stopped so I could go for a ride.

This is an older photo, but I’ve always loved how it turned out. Taken with an old Kodak LS420 camera, I think it was only 2 MegaPixels and it was my first small digital camera.
